Election Day

Our class has been discussing citizenship and the right to vote. To extend our lessons, we participated in a mock election. Our election was for a classroom mascot. We each visited our polling booth and voted on one of the three candidates we had nominated.

The class elected Wagner, the dog, as our classroom mascot. Wagner joined our class at the start of the year from the "Too Good for Drugs Program." Wagner has earned a seat in the classroom and will attend any activities that we participate in this year.

This was a lot of fun and we each received an "I voted" tag to wear.
