Pinwheels For Peace

"The Pinwheels for Peace project is a public statement about our feelings about war, peace, tolerance, cooperation, harmony, unity, and a way for others to know what we are thinking. It is a statement of calm with the absence of violence among people or groups of people."

A pinwheel is a childhood symbol which reminds us of a time when things were simple, joyful, and peaceful.

Our students made pinwheels as a school project to display for the International Day of Peace on September 21st. The spinning of the pinwheels in the wind will spread thoughts and feeling about peace throughout the country and the world. Look out in front of the school on Wednesday to see our display.
